BIOGRAPHY

I began piano lessons at age six and later enjoyed singing in and accompanying for school choruses all the way through high school. I also studied pipe organ. All these wonderful experiences led me to pursue music in college. I worked as a church musician since age seventeen and have been teaching piano for more than thirty years.

I had the privilege of studying as an adult with three extraordinary piano teachers:

• Bernard Abramowitsch at Mills College in Oakland

• Aiko Onishi at San Jose State University

• Ralph Berkowitz, former Dean of Tanglewood

I have been teaching piano lessons at The Academy, a private school in Berkeley, for over twelve years.
